Terms of Use

By using Roughwood Records online mixing and mastering service, you (the Customer) here by agree to the following:

 

Ownership:

 

You retain 100% ownership of the mixes and/or masters.  You retain 100% ownership of the tracks and songs.  If made public Roughwood Records only asks to be credited by name for the mixing and/or mastering.

 

Turnaround Time: 

 

You should expect the first mix within 2 weeks of Roughwood Records receiving payment and the files.  This depends on current work load, the order received, and the tasks involved in your mix.  Confirmation of this will be sent via email.  

 

If there are any issues with the tracks sent, or work commissioned, you will be contacted by email.

 

Roughwood Records reserves the right to refuse commissions or vary the terms of agreement.

 

Payment and Pricing:

 

Payment for Roughwood Records services should be made before any work is done.

All prices listed on this website are as stated and as such are not open for dispute unless stated otherwise.  Any discounts and/or special offers/promotions are only valid at the time of promotion unless stated otherwise.

 

Refund Policy:

 

No refund will be given once the engineer has started mixing the tracks. If the Customer is not happy with the first mix/master provided, up to 4 subsequent revisions will be made at no extra cost.

 

Your Warranty to Us

 

The Customer is the rightful owner of the Master Recording and/or Composition and all elements contained therein and warrants that it does not violate any law or infringe upon or violate the rights, including without limitation all copyright rights, of any individual or entity. If  the Customer is not the rightful owner then they warrant to Roughwood Records that they have the necessary and required permission/licence from the rightful owner to re-record, edit and/or modify the Master Recording and/or Composition. The Customer agrees to indemnify Roughwood Records its agents or assignees and hold them free and harmless from and against any and all claims, liabilities, costs, losses, damages or expenses, including but not limited to, reasonable legal fees and court costs, arising out of any failure or breach by the Customer with respect to its warranties as set forth in this Agreement.

 

Resposibility:

 

Roughwood Records is not responisible for any loss or damages suffered from using its services.

 

The Customer waives the right to bring any legal action(s) against Roughwood Records and/or its staff due to any damages or loss, financial or otherwise, resulting from customers use of our recording, tracking, mixing, editing, mastering or consulting services.

 

Roughwood Records may use recordings in whole or in part soleley for promotional uses pertaining to its services (such as placing non-downloadable sample clips on the webpage).
